Chapter 257: Infernox Lava Beast
Elara’s eyes scanned the room, taking in the quiet forms of Layla and Lucias. They lay on the bed, their chests rising and falling with shallow breaths. The Krael’s attack had left its mark, and Elara knew she had to act fast.
She approached the bed, her hands glowing with a soft, ethereal light. The light danced across Layla and Lucias’ bodies, revealing the extent of their injuries. Elara’s eyes widened as she saw the absurd growth with black spots running all over their arms, where they’d been hit by the Krael’s attack.
"Ah, no~" Elara whispered, her voice barely audible. "The Krael’s poison is spreading fast."
Kyle, who had been pacing the room, stopped dead in his tracks. "What is it, witch? What’s happening to them?"
Elara’s expression was grim. "Their internal cores, which are also their life force, are being corrupted by negative energy. It’s causing an imbalance, and...they don’t have much time to live."
Kyle’s face went white. "What? No, there has to be something we can do!"
A slight frown formed in his face, they were the only two with knowledge on how to pilot a spacecraft if they repaired theirs. Which was a slim possibility, but there was also the chances of coming across one here in kraken.
Snow’s voice was calm, but Kyle detected a hint of concern. [Kyle, I have no record of this type of attack in the system. I’m sorry.]
Kyle’s eyes narrowed, his mind racing. ’There has to be something, Snow. Think!’
Elara stepped forward, her eyes shining with a determined glight. "There is a plant, a rare one, that might be able to help. It’s called the ’Luminaria’, and it blooms once every two years, only on Kraken."
Kyle’s eyes lit up with hope. "Where can we find it?"
Elara’s expression was cautious. "It’s located in a cave inside an active volcano, shielded by a blazing hot geothermal environment. The plant has a blue crystal appearance, shimmering in the soft light from holes in the cave."
