Woof woof, as soon as the door was opened, a fierce black military dog had already rushed over, baring its teeth and snarling at the few strangers outside, its stark white teeth clamping shut as if they were about to tear off someone’s flesh.
The several people standing outside, except for Granny Lu, were all pale-faced. Qin Xiangmei backed into Hu Li, while Qi Pengfei hid behind Qi Xiangmei; both of them pushed Hu Li to the front. Hu Li was so scared that her teeth were chattering non-stop, as the vicious dog seemed ready to leap and bite.
"Conghua, go back."
Granny Lu commanded Conghua.
With a resentful whimper, Conghua ran to its kennel and stopped barking.
"You darn old hag," Hu Li, scared into a cold sweat and almost wetting her pants in humiliation, was furious. She really couldn’t let it go, thinking that the old lady had deliberately let the dog loose on them.
"How dare you set a dog on us?"
Hu Li rushed over in a fury, yanking a handful of Granny Lu’s hair. Just as she was about to pull again,
"Woof..." A large wolf-dog suddenly pounced forward, frightening Hu Li into quickly letting go. She stepped back and fell on her rear on the ground, covering her entire body in dirt; the cold sweat from before hadn’t dried yet, and now another wave of perspiration was forced out by the scare.
