Chapter 312: Comrades-in-Arms
"I’m not afraid there won’t be enough," Qin Xiangnuan was slicing fish fillets, preparing to make a dish of sauerkraut fish. Altogether, there were about a dozen dishes. She wasn’t worried if it were other people; she could handle five or six guests like Li Li and Mao Xiaomei with ease since they were all girls who wouldn’t eat much. There might even be leftovers. But military school students were different, they were all young men like her big brother, with substantial appetites.
"Enough, enough," Qin Xiangyang hurriedly arranged the dishes, lending a hand to sweep the floor and take out the trash, among other things.
"Just our dormitory, six people."
Six people, Qin Xiangnuan counted. Six wasn’t a small number; the dishes on the table should just barely suffice. Fortunately, she had steamed plenty of rice—enough for each person to have two bowls.
Before long, most of the dishes were ready.
Qin Xiangyang came out and brought out a table. The stone table outside would have been fine, but it was a bit too chilly and wouldn’t have made for an enjoyable dining experience. Inside the living room, the stove was lit, making it warm, and there was a TV to watch too. Eating while watching, no one would feel cold.
Qin Xiangyang then brought out a few bottles of beer. Outside, everyone could be more casual. Drinking some was fine, just don’t get drunk.
He carried two plates to the table, with Qin Xiangnuan following behind him.
"Hey, Xiang Yang, is this our little sister?" The man who was petting the dog immediately stood up and threw an arm over Qin Xiangyang’s shoulder. The term ’our little sister’ sounded particularly affectionate, and the way he said it was very heartwarming.
