"Let’s go, I’ll take you to see," Jian Zhiqing grabbed Qin Xiangnuan’s hand again, and this time Qin Xiangnuan was also calm about it, treating it as a brotherly gesture toward a sister, telling herself not to overthink it.
Jian Zhiqing took her to a place not far from where she sold her pancakes. There was a row of vacant houses here; they used to be shops selling something, but they had been empty for the last few years, unused and locked up.
"I’ve arranged for someone to renovate this space for you, you can sell your scallion pancakes here. From now on, you can have your stove and everything set up inside."
Qin Xiangnuan was shocked because she had actually thought about this place on her first day, but she had inquired around and learned it wasn’t for rent, otherwise, she would have rented it long ago. Having a proper shop would have been great.
It would make everything more convenient, no more having to haul a stove back and forth on a tricycle every day, and she could install another stove to make more pancakes. Plus, she wouldn’t have to worry about the weather anymore.
"Brother Jian, are you serious?" She excitedly grabbed Jian Zhiqing’s sleeve.
"Can I really sell pancakes here?" she asked, her eyes very clear and bright. The fingers clutching Jian Zhiqing’s clothes were chapped from the cold, though not severely, and thankfully, her face hadn’t been frostbitten. Having put on a little weight recently, she looked even more charming.
