Chapter 156: Some Businesses Can’t Be Taken by Force
The person opened the steamer, reached directly in, and took out a pancake, claiming it was a lotus leaf pancake. It could be considered one, technically; it was just two layers of pancake smeared with some oil, steamed until they looked rather unappealing, and the flour wasn’t even white. Moreover, the person grabbed it with bare hands, and a sharp-eyed student thought they had just seen that very hand scratching their head.
The pickled vegetables were scanty in oil and water, and it seemed they weren’t fried but boiled instead. Let’s not even discuss whether it tasted good or not; at the very least, the color of the vegetables was oddly off.

Carrying the lotus leaf pancake outside, the student bit into it and immediately spat it out; it was simply inedible.
