Chapter 18: A Chance Found
"Okay," Qin Xiangyang, though unsure of what his sister intended to do, agreed to whatever she said. Since childhood, his sister had been sensible and suffered a lot, so he unconditionally agreed to anything she asked.
Qin Xiangnuan asked Qin Xiangyang to unfold a piece of white paper, then folded it. She took a pencil and drew several lines on it, creating a simple paper bag design.
"Brother, help me fold along these lines," Qin Xiangnuan pointed out the lines on the white paper.
"Oh, okay."
Qin Xiangyang took some of the papers and started folding them on his lap.
Qin Xiangnuan then opened the cabinet, took out the paste she had prepared, and after she finished cutting, he began to glue them together. Once glued, they formed a small bag that could be used for holding items.
Qin Xiangyang took one and looked at it for a while, then he also started helping Qin Xiangnuan with the gluing, not needing to draw lines anymore.
Nowadays is not like the past; there’s no ample nightlife to pass the time, no computers, no mobile phones, and not every household has a television, at least theirs doesn’t. Usually, as soon as it gets dark and they’ve eaten, it’s time to sleep.
After all, Qin Xiangnuan is a child and her strength is limited. After gluing for a while, she rubbed her eyes.
"Go to sleep," Qin Xiangyang took the incomplete paper strip from Qin Xiangnuan’s hand, "Brother will finish glueing them, and when you wake up tomorrow, you’ll see a lot of bags."
Qin Xiangnuan rubbed her eyes again. Children are inherently sleepy. She didn’t want to sleep, wanting to make more paper bags because time was really running out, but somehow, she still fell asleep. When she opened her eyes again, it was already daylight and there were numerous paper bags beside her, probably hundreds.
