The Male Lead isn't Following the Script!

"Ughhhhh," Adeline whined, burying herself deeper into the soft covers of her bed.

The blankets were warm, the pillows were perfectly fluffed, and the world outside was too much of a headache to deal with. She was comfortable here. She didn’t want to move.

"You can’t keep staying in bed! Today is your brother’s wedding!" The Goddess’ voice rang through the room, sharp with frustration.

Adeline groaned again in protest.

This girl... The Goddess sighed helplessly, shaking her head. What should she do with this one?

Adeline, with all her grand plans of investigating, had done nothing but laze around in bed for an entire week. After all that talk about gathering information, after all her determination to find leads, she had ended up doing absolutely nothing.

At first, she had tried. She really had.

She searched for traces of forbidden magic, following the small leads she had. But the trail ran cold too quickly. The ones she was tracking—the ones responsible—had covered their tracks too well. Every hideout they found had already been abandoned.

And without any new information, without any real direction to go in, Adeline gave up.

Now, she spent all her time in bed.

Sleeping.
