The Male Lead isn't Following the Script!

Chapter 190: Mistakes

Alaric was going to be the Marquess and Aaron would lead the knights, she did not have anything to achieve, so why bother going? She kept telling herself that but when Alaric got engaged and Victoria was named the successor... Things changed.

Her one last friend would leave for the academy too and she would be left alone! Her dream of being a simple leech to society crumbled.

And stupid Cassian! He refused to come back home! She missed him! She wanted to see him! And the only way that could happen was if she went to the academy. She was ready to give him a piece of her mind!

"Benedict?" Adeline whispered to herself as she caught sight of a familiar figure. His striking red hair made him impossible to miss even in the sea of students.

He was leading the tour for the Defensive faction, his confident stride and commanding presence drawing attention from everyone around him.

It took a while for him to return to normal, but she was glad that he did. She was happy that she asked Cassian for help... And look at them now... Her heart was warm. They were doing so well in the academy!

Regarding the Northern Duke and Anna... He still held resentment towards them but he brightened up a bit. He no longer wanted to completely shut himself off and self-isolate. He showed interest in joining the academy.

He wished to take over as the Northern Duke as soon as possible. He wanted to get rid of Anna from that estate entirely. Adeline agreed with him! She wanted her gone! She did not know what to think of his father though.

In the story, it was later revealed that it was a misunderstanding. His father did not abandon him... He did not marry Anna to replace his mother... He only did it for political reasons, but the damage was done.
