Xiao Linye gallantly pulled out the dining chair for her.
Taken aback by this attentive treatment, Ye Yuning felt somewhat uncomfortable and forced a stiff smile. "I can do it myself!"
"I was worried the taste would change, so I made it right before I went to pick you up," he explained.
Ye Yuning already knew Xiao Linye was exceptional, but his cooking skills still pleasantly surprised her.
The steaming shrimp and lettuce rice, along with a soup fragrant with Angelica, looked light yet appetizing.
Unable to resist, Ye Yuning took a bite. The fresh flavor of the shrimp combined with the lettuce was exceptionally refreshing.
Xiao Linye asked, "How is it?"
Her taste buds thoroughly enticed, Ye Yuning nodded with satisfaction. "I usually eat quite spicy food, but I really like this flavor."
She had just nibbled on a burger in the elevator, so this light meal was perfect for her.
