Chapter 95 - 095: (1 update)
Ning Guiwan vanished behind the door like a wisp of smoke.
Quan Yu chuckled to himself but wasn’t in a rush. He stood a while longer on the top deck, assaulted by the sea breeze.
The mysterious red moon hung overhead, casting a faint red glow. To the man, the moon over the sea seemed much larger than it did over land. The dim red light reflected in the depths of his eyes, adding an enigmatic touch to his indifferent, glass-like pupils.
He’d lived for thirty-two years and, indeed, had never lowered himself like this for any girl.
He wanted to confine her to his side, yet selfishly wished she would comply willingly... But she was no ordinary girl. She had experienced things many others might not in their entire lives, with locks around her heart and armor plating her body.
Quan Yu took a cigarette case out of his trouser pocket and pulled out a cigarette, but didn’t light it. He slowly kneaded it in his hand, golden tobacco sprinkling onto the deck and his leather shoes. No need to rush, he thought. There’s plenty of time.
He stuffed the remaining half of the cigarette into the outer pocket of his overcoat and turned to walk in the direction Ning Guiwan had left.
He thought the young girl would have run away by now.
It was only upon entering that he noticed Ning Guiwan standing by the stair railing, an odd expression on her face.
Quan Yu hadn’t let the bodyguards follow when he came up, so it was just the two of them. His steps paused slightly, then he moved towards her, his feet silent on the carpet.
