Chapter 137: Her Relief
Seeing the smiles on the faces of Ms. Qin and Ms. Yu Hui, Cen Jin finally breathed a sigh of relief. At least her anxious heart had calmed down. When she first saw their attitudes, she thought they would strongly oppose!
Just this one hour or so had her all worked up and could be said to be very distressing.
After Ms. Yu Hui left, Jiang Baizhou also stood up and said goodbye to Ms. Qin, who happily nodded in response and even asked Cen Jin to see him off.
Cen Jin didn’t refuse either. After watching Ms. Qin go upstairs, she turned to look at Jiang Baizhou, who was still sitting there unaffected, and reached out to push his shoulder: "What are you still sitting here for? Waiting for my mom to invite you for breakfast tomorrow? Let’s go!"
Jiang Baizhou raised his eyes, leisurely getting up, raising his handsome eyebrows slightly, his cool gaze shooting directly at her charming face: "If Aunt Qin invites, staying wouldn’t be impossible."
Hearing his somewhat reluctant words, Cen Jin rolled her eyes at him: "From what you’re saying, being asked to stay feels like a grievance to you?"
"Not at all, it’s an honor." Jiang Baizhou’s eyes filled with a hint of a smile, pausing for a moment before continuing, "So... are you planning to keep me?"
"Hmph, you’re dreaming too beautifully, it’s impossible, let’s go!" Cen Jin huffed lightly, gave him a teasing glance, and pulled his arm towards the door.
Jiang Baizhou didn’t resist, letting her pull him while displaying a thoroughly relaxed and content expression, the smile in his eyes not diminishing but increasing instead.
Once they were out the gate, Cen Jin pulled him aside for a few more steps, stopping only when they were just over a meter away from his gate, releasing his arm: "Tomorrow I might leave a bit late, if you’re busy you can go ahead."
"Mm."
"Then hurry inside! Goodnight."
