Chapter 134: No indication?
When his warm breath brushed her nose, Cen Jin’s heart seemed ready to leap out of her chest. Seeing the smile in his eyes, Cen Jin’s face flushed again, and with a bashful smile, she pushed him away, unable to continue her questioning.
After choosing a restaurant for dinner, the two strolled hand in hand through Central Street. As they passed a small mall, a girl handing out flyers came directly to Jiang Baizhou, bypassing Cen Jin, and handed him a flyer with a bright smile and a twinkle in her eye: "Hello, handsome! This is from our store’s new collection. If you’re interested, you should check it out!"
Jiang Baizhou glanced at the flyer that suddenly appeared before him and then shot a cold glance at the girl handing out flyers: "No, thanks." With that, he simply pulled Cen Jin past her.
Being pulled along, Cen Jin couldn’t help but lower her head and laugh.
"What are you laughing at?" Jiang Baizhou asked, turning his head.
"I mean, the girl greeted you with a smile, her eyes nearly pulling your soul out, and look at you, you just glanced at her, seeming a bit disdainful. Isn’t that a bit harsh?" Cen Jin teased, tilting her head playfully.
But Jiang Baizhou, upon hearing this, remained calm and composed, his handsome face showing great poise as his eyes deepened, as if contemplating something profound. It was a while before he replied, "Rather than breaking her heart, I’m more afraid of hurting yours. Others don’t matter, only you do."
Cen Jin froze, her heart skipped a beat. She had intended to tease him, but now found herself flirting back.
Suddenly, it felt somewhat awkward!
Usually, appearing cool and indifferent to everything, Cen Jin didn’t expect him to be so skillful. His sweet words came one after another, and each one hit its mark perfectly.
