Chapter 109: Then who do you want to worry about?
Cen Jin took the bag of medicine upstairs to the second floor and stood in front of Jiang Baizhou’s room. She knocked politely with her knuckles, but there was no response from within. After waiting for about ten seconds, Cen Jin knocked a second time, and there was still no response. Hesitating slightly for another ten seconds, she raised her hand to knock a third time.
Before she could finish knocking, the door suddenly swung open with a ’whoosh,’ and a tall, dark figure appeared, along with a very impatient and cold handsome face. "What do you want? I already said I..." The cold tone of mild anger and annoyance in his icy eyes came to an abrupt stop when they fell on the familiar, pretty, fair face, and his expression froze.
"Um... how are you?" Cen Jin looked at his shocked expression, giggled awkwardly, and raised the bag of medicine in her hand. "Well, I heard you caught a cold, so I specially bought you some medicine for it."
Jiang Baizhou put away his surprised look, reverted to his previous cold gaze, but the impatience in his eyes had already dissipated, replaced by a hint of mild warmth. His tone was much calmer now. "Who told you that?"
"Uh, well... My mom and I just happened to be at the supermarket today when she mentioned you had a cold and a fever but refused to go to the hospital or take medicine." Cen Jin touched her nose, and as she spoke, she became more justified, her confidence growing. She even glared at him. "I’m telling you, how old are you now? Getting sick and still acting like a child. Not taking medicine won’t do. It’s a fever! What if it damages your brain?"
"..."
Jiang Baizhou looked at her in silence, his dark eyes revealing nothing of what he was thinking.
Being stared at like this, Cen Jin suddenly felt a bit deflated and awkwardly coughed twice. "Why are you staring at me? I’m not wrong. Who’s like you, catches a cold, and still needs their parents to worry about you taking medicine or getting injections?"
"I haven’t let them worry."
"Then who do you want to worry about you?"
