Chapter 36 - 036: The problem is, you haven’t seen the pig run
Cen Jin looked speechlessly at his figure already heading towards the cashier with the cart, pouting slightly, followed him silently, and put everything into the bag while he was paying. Just as she was about to lift it, a large hand stretched over and snatched the entire bag.
Raising her eyes, she met his indifferent gaze and heard him speak lightly, "Walk ahead."
Cen Jin replied with an ’oh’ and turned to walk forward. Not having to carry the bag saved her some effort; after all, he had bought quite a few drinks, making it rather heavy to lift. She had planned to carry it to the entrance before handing the bag back to him.
When the two returned home, it was already past five o’clock. Cen Jin helped him put the purchased items into the fridge, then suddenly remembered her phone was out of power and asked, "Jiang Baizhou, where’s your charger? My phone’s dead, hasn’t been charged since yesterday."
"In my room, go get it yourself." Jiang Baizhou twisted open a bottle of cold water, said casually, and then tilted his head back to gulp it down.
"Then I’ll leave your phone here." Cen Jin took his slim black phone from her bag and placed it on the pure white long ceramic tile countertop, then turned upstairs.
She was quite familiar with his room, having visited many times from childhood to adulthood. During school, they often did homework together, most of the time choosing his room.
His room’s style was very minimalist, without any flashy decorations, mainly in gray and white, with sparse furnishings, making it look very spacious. Jiang Baizhou was always very disciplined, with a slight touch of OCD and cleanliness, having principles about where things go, so finding the charger wasn’t difficult; she spotted it at a glance.
After grabbing the charger, Cen Jin closed the door and came downstairs, seeing Jiang Baizhou sitting at the bar’s high stool, holding a bottle of mineral water in one hand and a phone in the other while answering a call, his expression unreadable.
Cen Jin didn’t interrupt, took her purse, and went to the living room to charge her phone. Turning back, she noticed Jiang Baizhou had ended the call and was now deep in thought as he lowered his gaze, so she walked over and asked, "What’s up?"
