Chapter 20 - 020: Watch the road, walk carefully
"Give it to me." Jiang Baizhou stretched out his long arm when he saw the situation.
Upon hearing this, Cen Jin handed him the tongs, which he deftly used to cut the pork belly into small pieces with scissors. When the first piece was done grilling, Jiang Baizhou wrapped it in a piece of perilla and placed it in her bowl.
"Thank you." Cen Jin smiled serenely, not pretending to refuse, and directly picked it up with chopsticks and ate it. She nodded with satisfaction, "Hmm, it’s delicious. It’s exactly the taste I missed."
Jiang Baizhou didn’t speak, silently grilling the meat on the board. Each time a piece was finished, he placed it in Cen Jin’s bowl first.
By the fourth piece, Cen Jin was a little embarrassed to eat, as he hadn’t had a single bite yet and was constantly grilling for her. Looking at the freshly placed grilled meat in her bowl, Cen Jin quietly reached for another pair of tongs, but as soon as she touched them, a cold voice drifted from across the table: "Don’t move."
Upon hearing this, Cen Jin instinctively retracted her hand and looked innocently at Jiang Baizhou, who was calmly grilling the beef. "I can grill it myself. It’s been so long, and you haven’t started eating yet, I feel..." Really embarrassed.
"I’m not hungry yet." Jiang Baizhou slightly lifted his eyelids, glanced at her, and seeing she had picked up the tongs, coldly warned, "Put it down."
Cen Jin was speechless, subtly glaring at him before silently placing the tongs back in the distance. She picked up her chopsticks again and placed the grilled meat from her bowl into his: "Then you eat this, try it."
