Officials of Star Town darted through the streets, yelling, "Monster attack! First Level battle readiness! All non-combatants must immediately return to the Sanctuary! Do not linger on the streets!"
"Repeat! First Level battle readiness, all non-combatants evacuate immediately!"
The pace of the crowd suddenly quickened as they rushed toward the Sanctuary—the Underground City to the east.
Although their faces were tense, there was no fear.
Many people took it upon themselves to maintain order and organize the evacuation.
The defensive mechanisms of Star Town had become quite refined, thanks to the efforts of Molly.
As a senior dispatcher in the Military War Department, she thoroughly understood the town’s defense layout and, after taking control of the main body of Star Town, she designated the Underground City to the east as the emergency sanctuary for wartime.
The special construction of the Underground City made it incredibly safe, with its walls and gates reinforced by Spiritual Energy proving to be very sturdy. The former Starry Kingdom intended to build it as a combat base, but times had changed. To the east of Star Town was no longer the boundless Dark World but rather the Trolian Royal City, and to the west, the Starry Kingdom had become a haven for monsters.
The combat base became a sanctuary, and there was no better place for it.
