Chapter 78: Submission
The guild leader, the creator, and the wizard player bowed before the duo, while Jung, with Nero sitting on his shoulder, smiled viciously.
"Well, well, well..." Jung said dramatically. "You guys are back here with me. In my clutches, under my mercy—yet how come I see no threats or revenge fulfilled?"
After they had promised to find and kill him, they used revival as their trump card against him.
Little did they know, Jung would use it to execute them repeatedly, rendering their accounts useless.
The desperation and helplessness they felt were understandable, as The World of Archetypes wasn’t just any game.
It was the second world, a second life for many, and losing it was painful and, in some cases, devastating.
"Don’t do this," the friendly swordsman pleaded. "This is how I feed myself."
He had no shame or pride to save and begged on his knees, his previous malice nowhere to be seen.
As for the grumpy wizard guy, his head was lowered, his teeth still clenched, yet he was quiet.
The same didn’t apply to the leader, though.
He was a true rebel; even after tasting defeat, he didn’t give up, resisting Balatro to the death.
