Chapter 315 - 307. Rotten Fruits
Inside one of the executive lounges, which was under exclusive use the Guildmaster, Xue Ren sat sulkily on Alcor’s lap with a headphone and a tablet in his hands, pursing his lips in annoyance.
But there was nothing he could do--it was either that or spending time in another room, watching movies alone. He understood that he barged into the twins’ important meeting for his own selfish reason, so he agreed to just watch his drama series quietly while the others made the serious talk.
He was rather envious, though, looking at Zein conversing with the other high-ranking espers equally. It wasn’t like Azure treated their guides horribly, but still...they wouldn’t talk about serious matters with the guides. They were just another employee, after all. He was an exception because he was the Guildmaster’s exclusive guide, but the twins wouldn’t discuss guild business in front of him.
Not that he would understand much, but sometimes it made him feel left out. He knew though, it wasn’t his place to intrude. He was lucky enough to be adored by the twins, so he didn’t want to do anything that would annoy them.
Still, he felt envious, because Zein looked like he was a part of the ’inner circle’, or something like that. Well, for now, he would just keep the envy in his heart. Maybe if he became as good as Zein in the future...
"So you told them?" Zein started the conversation by asking for confirmation, looking at Radia rather sharply.
"I need their cooperation," Radia replied calmly with a smile. "I need to appeal the urgency."
"Hmm..."
[Worry not, Master only told them you were abducted] A voice came inside Zein’s mind, and he glanced toward the summoned secretary in livery, the one called Nyx.
"Alright," Zein could take it if it was just that much.
He did doubt that Radia would go so far as to disclose the details of what transpired that day without his agreement, but then again, it was Radia, so he could never let his guard down.
