The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter

Chapter 1027: SIDE STORY (DEXTER): GRIEF

Deep down, Dexter knew it was a futile attempt for him to get away from this current situation. He wouldn’t be able to save Aria.

But still, he didn’t stop running with her on his back. She was too shocked to move when she finally realized she lost her parents and the people that she knew.

They didn’t have time to wait until she could get over her grief. They had to move as far as they could, that was the only slim chance they had.

"Why? Why did you do it?" Aria asked, crying. She shook her head, as if she wanted to get rid of the noise in her head. People were crying and screaming and that sound would be forever etched in her mind. "Why? What have done wrong that you wanted to kill us?"

Dexter couldn’t answer her question. He didn’t know how to answer that. The only thing that he knew he had to get her away from his people and for the aftermath, he would think about it once they were safe.

However, they had never reached the safety, because a second later two portals were created close to him and four magic users walked out from there, followed by his father, Zeke.

Dexter had never seen his father was so angry like right now, his face turned very red when he raised his hand and attacked his son.

Thankfully, Dexter was agile enough to dodge the attack, but with Aria was on his back, it was pretty difficult to move.

Both of them stumbled and fell to the soft sands, Aria was crying because the look on their faces were very terrifying, as if she could feel their killing intention.

"Stop this, Dexter." Zeke didn’t raise his voice, but that made him looked even more scary. "You know that you don’t have a chance to fight."

"Father, please..." Dexter had never asked anything to his father. He was an obedient child. He listened to what his father said and never refused any of his order. "I want her."
