Chapter 1018: SIDE STORY (ETHAN): I ONLY WANT YOU
Ethan could see her through little trick, but when Aliana denied it, he didn’t bring the topic again.
But after that, Carla’s visit became less frequent, which made Ethan was more than happy, because he didn’t think he could digest her food properly.
It was not that he disliked Carla, but he felt whatever crazy idea in Aliana’s mind right now wouldn’t be proper for any of them. He only wanted to be with his mate, that’s all and he thought it would only be a phase.
However, Ethan was very wrong about that, because Aliana didn’t drop this matter at all, she only became subtle with it.
"Why you didn’t come to the orphanage often again?" Will asked Ethan one day, because he didn’t see him for a few weeks now.
"Hm?" Ethan raised his brows, feigning innocent. "Nothing. I was busy. Like usual, the king wanted to kill me by giving me a lot of things to do."
"I doubted that. I saw you take a leisurely walk with Aliana a few times," Will called him out for his lies easily.
Ethan laughed at that, but he didn’t give him a definitive answer. Thankfully, Will was not a busybody, thus he didn’t pursue the matter.
The truth was; Aliana had been setting him up with Carla a few times. At first Ethan didn’t realize it, he thought it was only a coincidence when he went to play with the little children, Carla was ordered to get the water from there.
Well, an encounter like that could happen anytime, nobody would take a notice of that, but then something similar happened again and again, which made Ethan wondered what actually was going on and every time, Carla would say that she came because of Aliana’s order.
One day, when Ethan returned home, he found Carla was there, which shocked him. The young girl was also shocked when she saw Ethan walked into the house.
