As a replacement for a horse, Lil Thing was the one that pulled the carriage, where Iris was sleeping soundly. The carriage was so small, so it was only enough for her alone.
She didn’t wake up until the next day.
Tonight, they had to travel far to get something to eat, since everything was destroyed by the backlash or the monsters, until they entered the Cassius mountain at night that they could find a few deer.
Cane was guarding the carriage for a whole night and day in his beast form. He would wake up even for a small noise, though they took turn to stand guard, but the alpha seemingly woke up for the whole night.
"Stop it!" Zale said, as he rushed away from Lou, but he didn’t forget to bring his deer meat with him.
"What happened?" Cedric asked, he brought his meat and sat down on the spot where Zale was sitting a moment ago, frowning when Lou was laughing mirthfully.
"I told him what I was doing to Kellan’s head." Lou bit his meat happily. He looked a little bit pale because he pushed himself too far when he used his power to torture Kellan. But, he was happy nonetheless. It was very worth it.
Cedric frowned. "What did you do?"
Wickedness flashed in his eyes when he gestured for Cedric to get closer to him, as he told him every detail of what he had done to Kellan’s head.
"Stop it!" Cedric pulled away from him. Lou had not yet told him half of the story, but the poor knight felt like his stomach had churned. "I don’t want to know the detail. You are insane."
Lou shrugged his shoulder nonchalantly. "Well. He deserved that and more."
