Chapter 860: COMMOTION AT NIGHT
Iris was sleeping peacefully with Cane beside her when suddenly she was woken up with an intense feeling, which made her heart accelerated rapidly. She was shaking because of how strong the feeling was and she didn’t have any idea what was that.
However, a second later, she heard a muffle commotion from afar, the warriors in front of the door shuffled and it seemed there was something going on, which made them restless.
Because the noise was not too loud, Cane didn’t wake up. Probably because his condition was still not stable, that’s why he was still sleeping, putting down all of his defense.
Slowly, Iris got off the bed, she took her cloak to cover her sleeping dress and went to open the door to find Otis and Dean were standing there. The two of them greeted her politely.
But not too far she saw Zale curled himself on the floor, but he immediately woke up when he noticed Iris came out of the room. The young boy refused to leave and would spend most of his time lingered around the luna.
"What happened?" Iris asked. She tightened the cloak around her neck because the wind was rather cold for her, even though it was almost summer.
"You must be woken up because of the noise, luna." Otis looked apologetic. But, Iris was not woken up because of the noise, instead it was this intense feeling that she still felt that disturb her sleep. Needless to say, she wouldn’t mention anything about it. "Eron has gone to check on it, it seems the noise came from the Holy Kingdom people’s quarter."
The east of this pack house was occupied by the Serafim and the elders. People from the Holy Kingdom usually hang around that area.
"I will go, stay here." Iris felt something had gone wrong and she wanted to check it herself.
"I will go with you, luna," Otis said hastily, but Iris rejected him. "I can’t let you go alone, luna. Even though it is still inside the pack house, but it’s still not safe for you."
"Zale, come with me," Iris said. Since they said she couldn’t go alone, she would take this young boy with her, because she needed them to look after Cane.
