Chapter 836: IT WAS A HARD DECISION
"There is no way the baby can shift," Abby said, her mind was racing with her heart, she couldn’t think clearly and her heart now was pounding against her ears.
"If you have not yet noticed it, I can’t shift too, Abby." Iris pointed this fact out, in which Abby forgot.
Abby shook her head, she tried to compose herself, but failed. "I heard about the golden eyes of the king’s bloodline and I know your babies had golden eyes, how can you pass that?"
"There is no need for everyone to see the baby, once the baby was more than a week old and the golden eyes faded, no one could tell." Iris had the answer for every doubt Abby had for this suggestion.
Cane had talked about this, even though it was only a brief conversation, but he also suggested to raise a child to be an heir and now Abby’s baby would be a great opportunity. With how similar Iris and her was, no one would question the baby and more importantly, no one would challenge him for not having an heir from his flesh and blood, since this matter could be a huge problem in the future.
Cane himself agreed with this idea when Iris came with this suggestion. He didn’t have any repudiation on it, if this was what Iris wanted, but he warned her about Abby’s rejection.
For Iris, it didn’t matter, the final decision was still on Abby. She only wished they could find a better solution for this.
"You want to take my baby because you lost yours?!" Abby was getting emotional, she didn’t know what the right reaction to respond to Iris’s suggestion and she said the thing that she shouldn’t, in which she immediately apologized, knowing her error. "I am sorry, I didn’t mean to say that."
Iris took a deep breath to calm herself down. She could control her emotion better now. What Abby said was hurt, but she could sympathize with her circumstance.
"I suggested this not with the intention to take a baby away from their mother. That’s a cruel act. My suggestion stands for giving the baby a chance to live, if it’s possible." Iris stood up. She rapped her finger on the little bottle, she showed Abby before, which filled with the abortion potion. "There is nothing, absolutely nothing, can replace my babies." She caressed Abby’s shoulder. "Think about this."
After saying that, Iris walked out of the room, she felt a little bit suffocated, but after she composed herself, she felt better and all she wanted was to find Cane.
