"How is she?" Cane asked Grace, he was holding baby Rora in his arms, who kept crying. She was hungry, but Iris fell into a deep sleep, she was having a high fever ever since last night after they finished with the funeral.
"She will be fine," Grace said. "I can’t use my power, so someone needs to constantly feed her the medicine, but there is side effect of it..."
"What is it?" Cane’s eyes turned a few shades darker.
"With the medicine, the luna can’t breastfeed Rora," Grace replied, she looked at the alpha apologetically.
"What else?" Cane asked in deep voice. He was trying to soothe Rora, but there was nothing he could do, because the baby was hungry.
"Give her some rest, she will be fine... physically," Grace then added. "what luna Iris is going through right now is more about mentally than physically. I can help with her fever, but I can’t help more than that... and the crucial thing is, if your mind and heart are hurt, it will affect the body too."
What Grace wanted to say was; she could cure Iris’s fever, but if she was still mentally not stable, she would keep being sick.
"Understood."
After that, Cane gave an order to call Della over so she could breastfeed baby Rora and also Hanna to accompany Iris. She needed her more than she needed Aliana this time, with that Cane gave Aliana new assignment.
"Let me do it," Laluna said when she overheard what Aliana told Della. "I will breastfeed the baby."
Della was frozen, she had her back against Laluna, but she still remembered her voice. All this time when she was in the Golden Light pack, she had always been careful not to reveal her face or identity, knowing there were handful people, who knew her.
