"Luna Iris, I am glad to see you are fine! Are you hurt somewhere?" Eron asked Iris, he sighed deeply in relief when he saw her.
"I am fine, Eron. I am glad you are fine too," Iris said. She was more than grateful when she didn’t feel any repercussion after using her power to break the black magic that controlled the monster. She was afraid her babies would take the brunt, that’s why she didn’t make a fuss when Cane told her to take some rest.
Right now, Cane was with Koda and the Serafim, he took the frontline, just in case the protection was broken and the monsters managed to infiltrate this place before the portals were closed.
Apparently, they couldn’t bother the magic users and when one of the magic users stepped out of their formation, all of their efforts would go to the drain.
"We have been looking for you, luna," Dyne chimed in. "But, we believe the alpha will protect you! We are right!"
Lou cleared his throat unhappily. "Excused me, I was with them. Do you think I don’t have any contribution?"
"What a merchant can do to fight against a monster?" Eron narrowed his eyes and Lou was speechless. He couldn’t tell them his contribution and Ethan guffawed within.
However, the topic didn’t last long because their attention was distracted by the transparent shield filled with magic, one wouldn’t be able to realize it if they didn’t pay close attention.
"What is happening here?" Eron and Dyne were flabbergasted to see the shield canopied a large area of the shelter. "Everything is fine here?"
"Yes, the Serafim told the magic users to protect this place, as they are going to close the portals," Ethan explained briefly. He glanced at Lou, who came with them. What he was doing here? He didn’t remember the merchant was being invited to join them, but he plastered next to Iris.
"Ah, but we need to go!" Eron said abruptly, remembered the urgency of the task that was given to them. "We need to get Grace!"
