It was a tricky situation when you have to face a double crosser like alpha Nolan. There were a lot of things that you could get from this situation, but if you made a wrong move, it would be you, who was being stabbed on the back.
"They are not born as a royal family. The idea of putting the baby on the throne is ridiculous."
The thing that alpha Nolan didn’t know was; it was Cane’s idea to put the baby on the throne, he and Koda schemed their way to make it happened.
"And for Koda to be the regent? Do you really want to let him sit on the throne and do whatever he wanted to do? That man is very greedy for power."
All of them did, including Cane. Who would be able to resist the temptation of power, everyone needed power for different reason. More so, it was also Cane’s idea to put Koda as the regent.
"Hm." Cane nodded. "And?"
Alpha Nolan smirked, he thought he had tempted Cane enough to consider this.
"The only person, who has the royal blood and suit to be on the throne is you, Cane. People might have forgotten about this, but I will never forget it." Alpha Nolan stood up, he walked toward Cane and stood in front of him, as if he was a father, who was lecturing their son about life. "If Leane was still alive, she will want the same thing."
How ridiculous of alpha Nolan for talking on behalf of his dead daughter when he didn’t even know what was Leane’s favorite flower.
"Leane will want to see you to raise in power and sit on the position that should be yours." Alpha Nolan kept edging Cane to think about all the possibilities that he could get if he became the king. "During your time in the capital city and what you have done to ensure the people’s safety, people’s heart goes to you, it will be easy for you to win the people’s heart."
That was rather true, the people in the capital city were very thankful for what Cane had done, especially when he was rumored to be in a good term with prince Kellan and helped with the construction of the orphanage.
