The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter

Chapter 614: HE WANTED TO KILL HIM!

Despite what alpha Nolan had warned him, to not show his affection toward his mate, Cane actually did the opposite. He didn’t change the way he treated Iris, neither he tried not to be affectionate with her in public.

Most of the people also already knew about the gift that he gave to his mate, though Iris didn’t wear a lot of accessories, she did wear a ring or necklace now. In the morning, she would rummage the chests and found something she liked to wear and she enjoyed it a lot.

"You don’t need to feel sorry, Nolan, because I don’t." Cane was sitting on the opposite seat from alpha Nolan in this long table in the dining hall.

Alpha Nolan shook his head. "I know you must be very upset right now, this is something that unforgiveable."

Hearing that, Cane tilted his head and shifted his attention from his mate, who was munching her meat happily, her appetite improved, she ate a lot more recently and it didn’t go unnoticed by him. Probably it was due to a lot of things they did during the night that caused her hunger in the morning.

"I don’t, Nolan." Cane’s voice was even and all the people fell into silence, they stopped eating and listened to the alpha’s conversation, because you could sense the tension started to rise up in the air, though a certain auburn hair woman was oblivious, as she relished her meal. "If you want to pity someone, take your pity to Gallot, because I will not let this slide."

Alpha Nolan smiled, but it didn’t reach his eyes at all. "So, are you going to march toward Moon Dew pack and take him down? With these warriors from the six packs you have, you can easily take down his pack." His eyes glinted with cunningness. "I will be happy to assist you and I am sure the Red Claw pack will not refuse to do the same."

"I can handle my own affair, but thank you for the offer." Cane tucked a strand of Iris’s hair behind her ear, so it wouldn’t fall into her plate.

The sight made alpha Nolan scoffed. He was sure Cane did that to annoy him, as he was contradicting his advice. This time, he directed his words toward Iris, who had been staying out of their conversation ever since they entered the dining hall. Somehow, she had this strong dislike toward alpha Nolan.
