Chapter 528: STORMY NIGHT
"What did you say?" Cane’s voice turned very dark the moment what Dean reported to him registered in his mind.
He was worried because he couldn’t find Iris in their bedroom or in the study room, usually she would be there at this hour and stop roaming around outside the pack house.
However, when Cane was about to look for her and send people to find her whereabouts, Dean came to inform him that the Luna was in district eleven, a place close to the fortress, where the warriors who guarded the fortress used to gather. There were a lot of taverns there.
"The Luna, Aliana and the seven warriors, also Gamma Ethan were heading there," Dean reported, he flinched to feel the hostility that came from the Alpha, he prayed for the safety of these warriors for taking their luna there.
Without a second thought, Cane shifted into his black beast and stormed toward district eleven. God forbid what he was going to do to those people.
Meanwhile, Aliana helped Iris to try some alcohol. "Try this, this is the best seller here," she said happily, as she introduced the signature alcoholic drink that was produced by their pack to the Luna. "Can you hold your drink?"
"Of course, she can," Ethan chimed in. "From what I heard, the Alpha has been teaching her how to drink."
Iris frowned. "No. He has not." She didn’t know from where Ethan heard that twisted information.
"But, I heard you got drunk when you were in the Riverside pack," Ethan said, he must be talking about the welcoming party that Alpha Gill threw for them when they were there.
Iris blushed when she remembered that certain memory, because what happened next was so out of character for her.
"How is the taste?" Aliana asked her. "Try this one too. This is tea, but the leaves had been infused with alcohol, so even though it tastes almost like mint tea, if you drink too much, you can get drunk too." She explained and Iris learned a few things more about the Howling Wolf pack.
