Chapter 211: CALLED THE KING OUT
The situation in the front yard was easily resolved after Princess Osana managed to tame the Crown Prince. From what rumors said, Alan was even more respectful toward his father’s little sister than the King himself. He was afraid of her because Princess Osana could be quite unpredictable.
However, what became Cane’s main focus was not the appearance of Princess Osana herself, but the fact that Lou was in the palace as well.
How could that merchant wriggle his way into the royal family outside of the black market? Him coming here could just be a coincidence? The merchant pretended it was the first time he met with Cane and the rest, but his eyes were gleefully fixed on Iris, making the girl uncomfortable, as she walked close to her mate.
On the other hand, only Ethan was allowed to follow them into the main hall, to meet with the King, but because of the crime that he had allegedly committed, he was flanked by two guards.
Meanwhile, the rest of Cane’s people were escorted to their respective rooms.
Iris glanced at Ethan a few times, but the Gamma didn’t even show a shred of fear. He was at peace and even hummed a song while mumbling some lyrics here and there. It seemed he had come to terms that he wouldn’t make it back to their pack, or even to the ceremony.
Actually, Iris wanted to ask Cane about this and what his plan was, whether he would save his gamma or he would accept the verdict without a fight. However, even though they were together on their journey to the capital city, they didn’t exchange a word during that time.
And right now, it was not the right time for her to mention anything about it.
