Chapter 118: THE CROWN PRINCE
Cane knew it was the voice of the crown prince, because they had a dispute before when he tried to get handsy with Leane. He would never forget that disgusting voice.
It was not a surprise to see him in this kind of place, since it suited his taste perfectly while the old man beside him was his advisor. Corry Maleen. He had been his advisor for as long as Cane could remember.
"Can you read their conversation?" He asked again after Iris came to stand beside him.
Iris looked at the cubicle that Cane pointed out, she squinted her eyes and looked at them carefully, thankfully, their faces were facing her, thus it was not difficult for her to read their lips.
"...this is too much. You have to stop bidding. We will not have enough money to buy it." Iris repeated what the old man was speaking, as she watched him scold the man beside him.
"That’s just a rumor! No one knows if the item is really on the black market!" Alan, the crown prince of the Ogregon kingdom, glared at his advisor. He had been wanting to get rid of this old thing, but his father wouldn’t agree.
"We shouldn’t be here, we should go to the black market straightaway! The king will not be pleased to know this." Corry knew the crown prince’s temper, he wouldn’t be able to resist shiny things, especially at a chance to piling up his wealth with them.
"You can go back to the capital by yourself, so shut the fuck up, or I will sell you too."
That was a demeaning statement and very impudent of him, but Corry couldn’t voice his anger, because at the end of the day, he was the crown prince. And even though there was no way he would be able to sell him, this man could find a thousand ways to make his life miserable when he became the king one day if he got on his bad side.
