Chapter 108: MAKING A LOT OF MONEY
If the earth magic stone could be used for defense and the water magic stone could be used to speed up one’s healing process, then the fire magic stone could be used for welding offensive magic, while the air magic stone... there was no record of it ever having been used, since it was so rare and only one person had it, the Serafim.
Unfortunately, Iris was not a magic user and no matter how great the magic stone was; she would never be able to use them. It was a pity, since they lived surrounded by these stones.
"If only I have magical power, with a fire stone in my hand, I can use offensive magic," Iris said to herself with a sigh.
Cane frowned upon hearing that. "What do you need offensive magic for?"
"To protect myself," Iris replied truthfully.
"From what?" It was not like she was exposed to danger every time.
"You know, I am a runt. Shifters can protect themselves by shifting into their beasts and magic users could use their magical abilities while healers could depend on their healing powers to be useful. I feel like I am very useless for not being able to do anything," she said truthfully, there was a hint of bitterness in her voice.
Thinking back on it, Iris really felt incompetent in everything and the mocking words that Mason had always thrown at her rang in her ears again. She was useless, a disgrace for the family, a scourge in their eyes.
"You can find magic stones," Cane said in a matter of fact tone, which made Iris blink her eyes.
"Is that a useful ability?" She didn’t think it was something that she could be proud of.
"You can make a lot of money out of it," he said lightly. His overbearing demeanor from earlier had disappeared completely now.
