Chapter 1092: Might need a time out
"Is this some sort of virus?" Primo inquired. "If it is, how does this affect us?"
"It affects us because it’s shutting down the system." Hera snapped her eyes at Primo, picking up the phone to get a better look. "If Joker sends this to us, it means he’ll have a problem with time."
"I’m not following." Primo darted his eyes to Tiger and Moose. "Care to give me more explanation? I know the laws, but this? It’s not something I really learned."
"It means Joker lost a few fingers and that he needed a little help here," explained Tiger nonchalantly. "I don’t really understand, but if that arrogant bastard asks for our input, it only means he needed help. He’s also on meds and painkillers. His brain is probably just as bad as his hands."
"Baby monster." Moose rubbed his chin, pondering. "Did you check on Gray?"
"They already did," Tiger remarked. "That’s what Wolf said before I lost him."
"Oh, it’s not shutting down any system. It’s shutting signals connected to the CIA." Hera held the phone closer, knowing there was nothing she could do as these phones were modified to receive and send an SOS signal.
"Our system is hidden under the stairs of the CIA, so in a way, we’re connected. It’s not a direct attack," she explained further, rocking her head at the possible results that could affect them. "Joker will figure this out."
"Are you sure?" Tiger asked. "Wolf wouldn’t try to reach you if he thinks Joker can do it alone."
"There’s a reason why I left Wolf with him. Wolf worked in the CIA for years." Hera tossed the phone back to Tiger, which he caught in midair. "It’s nothing. The worst thing that could happen is that we won’t be able to reach them until they fix the problem."
"I see." Tiger rocked his head in understanding, watching Hera walk back to the person lying unconscious on the ground. "He is not dead?"
