Chapter 1089: Slot machine
Sebastian raised his brows, watching his father take the phone call while leaving the room. He slowly sat up, eyes still on the shut door. He pressed his lips into a thin line before he mustered the courage to fling his legs out of the bed.
Carefully, he approached the door and placed his ear on it. He heard his father talking quietly before the sound of footfalls sounded distant. Sebastian peeled his ear from the door, twisting the knob to check outside. Upon peeking his head out, he caught his father walking away.
Sebastian pressed his lips together, closing the door quietly. As soon as the door shut closed, he turned around and smiled. Instead of going back to bed, he rushed to get a suitcase underneath the bed. Sitting on the floor, he opened up the suitcase which had a laptop in it.
The laptop immediately lit up when he opened it. He couldn’t turn it off earlier because he knew his father would check on him. Not that he planned to stop everything he was doing right after Dominic tucked him in.
"I think... this is how mommy does it," he murmured, maneuvering his way to every site and program he had been familiar with.
Thanks to Gray, Sebastian had a broad understanding of computers, viruses, firewalls, and all that stuff. His mother taught him a few things that he might need. For instance, hiding his IP and the sort. However, she didn’t teach him to infiltrate an organization’s system, as it was too dangerous. But Gray... it was easy to get answers from him if he only asked in a more pure curious manner and roundabout way.
Well, that was probably one of the things he learned from his mother: getting answers without asking directly.
And now, it came in handy.
"This is her," Sebastian paused, staring at the CIA’s profile on their most wanted list.

He blinked a couple of times, recognizing the woman’s face as he had seen it not long ago. Not that he hadn’t seen this picture. He often caught his mother in the past looking at this picture.
