Chapter 1062: Ever heard of the King of the Jungle?
It was a mystery to Elliot how the Sun Organization knew about his whereabouts. His men didn’t even know where exactly he was. Despite the risk of not disclosing where he would be, he still took it. He only told a few people he trusted the most in this operation.
But alas, the Sun Organization still knew which container he was in exactly.
He didn’t want to think about it initially. Or rather, he didn’t have the time to think about it. With all the chaos that was happening, he was just too worried about his men’s well-being. But now, staring at the fire engulfing the cars he was about to get in, a realization struck him.
Just who else was equipped enough to fire a missile rifle in this place right now? The Reapers could be fully equipped, as they had time to prepare for it. The Sun Organization too... and so were the members of the Interpol. With this, it all boiled down to the situation at hand.
Because of the Reapers, the Sun Organization was forced to flee. Many of them died — crushed to death. Although it was true that the said organization took their chances to kill Elliot, the drastic casualties they inflicted proved they had no time at all. The Reapers, on the other hand, were the strongest candidates who could’ve done this.
Who knows? Hera might’ve lost her mind and ordered her men to kill him. But if that was the case, Elliot knew without a shadow of a doubt he would’ve been dead a long time ago. Assassination was the Reaper’s forte. They were infamous for taking down their targets without their target realizing they were even killed.
Which left him with one suspect.
His own men.
They were equipped with fully loaded rifles and even specialized weapons for emergency cases. Unlike the Sun Organization, which received a mountain of casualties, the Reapers didn’t deliberately attack the members of the Interpol. Maybe some of them got hurt, but that was because this was a battlefield. The Interpol’s forces were almost fully intact.
Meaning... the ones who targeted him, which resulted in Ram taking the bullet for him, and that explosion was caused by his own people. It was the Interpol’s doing.
"Hah..." Elliot breathed out a jagged breath as realization struck him stronger than that explosion.
