Heaven pressed her lips and swallowed a mouthful of saliva to soothe her throat. She had detailed to them what happened in the car, and how things went down. It could be important to them or not, but after waking up in this body, she realized just how bad Heaven’s fall was at that time.
Heaven also realized just how she messed things up for the original Hera.
If only she listened to her when she said she should jump, the original Hera, who was in this body at that time, would have had plenty of time. However, she kept hesitating and cowering, wasting every second until the last minute. Being in this body made her see what were all the things that were going on in Hera’s mind at that time. The only help the original Hera needed from her was for Heaven to remove herself from the situation.
Hence, Heaven could only blame herself.
"So Joker... stopped running?" Bear, who almost couldn’t believe what he heard, forced his words out. "He purposely got himself caught?"
Heaven nodded, eyes down. "Hera kept yelling that he runs, but no one else can control the car. Hera was wrestling with Dragon, and I just stayed there without listening to her."
The vein in Bear’s forehead pulsated, teeth clenched, hands in a tight fist. "That’s right," he breathed out, barely keeping himself together. "It was your fault. You should’ve removed yourself from the situation."
"Tsk." Moose snickered and shook his head, running his fingers through his hair. "If you jumped out at that time, Hera could’ve found a way to get out and Joker didn’t need to get himself caught. But you kept messing things up over and over."
