"Don’t worry. I don’t plan on dying, knowing my children are waiting for me to pick them up from their grandparent’s home."
Fighting an entire organization all on her own was something Heaven had experienced during Hera’s peak. There were times she would just run off on her own, massacring all of her enemies and when her people arrived, the job was already done.
But back then, she didn’t care if she would die or not. Those times were mostly to end people — tons of people — without thoughts of protecting anyone including herself. Which made a huge difference to their situation at the moment.
Leo aside as the man was already in Wolf’s care, she also had to consider Hera’s (her body) safety. Adding to that, Dominic was on the other side of the country battling another mob boss whom she knew was cunning and wicked. Not to mention, her dearest friend Ivy. And her life. So many lives she cared about were on the line.
"What a troublesome scenario," she muttered. "At least, it’s troublesome while I’m in this body."
After being in this body for quite some time now, Heaven was already comfortable in it. She trained this frail body day and night, breaking its limitations for a situation like this. However, the big problem was that despite all the skills she retained and honed, this face was not Hera. If she died right now, she could imagine all her loved ones following her to the afterlife.
Even if Dragon wouldn’t do it, Dane would. If she showed her face to Dragon’s alliances, then these people would set their eyes on not just her husband, but her children as well. Their reason could be for revenge, but knowing how greedy they were, they would rationalize it and target the family’s fortune. As sick as it may sound, that was something she was sure of.
This was the underground; a place where evil was deep-rooted.
"I shouldn’t have removed my mask," she told herself and sighed. "Now, there’s only one way to end things."
She had to end them ALL.
Tapping on her earpiece twice, she spoke. "No One, can you get into the car?"
