Chapter 945: You’d be last

Hera screamed now and then, especially whenever their vehicle crashed into something or made its abrupt turn. She felt like she was on a roller coaster, maybe worse. She closed her eyes, holding on to anything to reduce the impact. Meanwhile, Dragon would grunt and curse, unable to buckle himself as the driver of their car didn’t give him enough break to do so with her crazy driving.

Heaven, on the other hand, retained a stony expression as she drove as recklessly as possible. It was as though she had no regard even for her own life. Despite the special modification on the car that protected its shell, the vehicle looked more wrecked at every crash.

"You crazy bitch!" A yell from the backseat resonated in her ears, compelling her to do more. "Fuck yo — ugh!"

Dragon hit his head once more, releasing another grunt due to pain. His rifle slid from his lap, bouncing on the car’s floor while he clung to the handle above the door. This was crazy — this woman was insane. He already knew she could be very unhinged, considering she had once jumped from the rooftop to catch him in the helicopter.

"Heh." Heaven’s eyes glinted, pleased at the painful sound earned from Dragon. When she glanced at the rearview mirror to see him, she realized her anger wasn’t quenched.

What angered her wasn’t the fact that Dragon concocted a scheme and hid her body all these years. In a way, that revelation barely surprised her. Considering her sinful life, she was not surprised that someone like him would do something so unspeakable.

But what truly angered her was the fact that Dragon used her people and made her fight them. The fact that she had to slay a few of them just because they didn’t know the person they were trying to protect was actually the person they thought was an enemy.

Protecting him? The mere thought of it irritated her to the core. If there was someone she wanted to hurt right now, that would be Dragon. And even if she beat every part of him, she was certain that wouldn’t quench her anger.

However, the situation they were in inevitably made her appear like she had to protect him. Therefore, she resorted to venting her anger differently, hurting him pathetically just by driving recklessly.

"Kyah!" Hera screamed once again, only to stop when she heard a thud from the side. This time, their vehicle stopped, and she opened her eyes out of instinct. Much to her horror, the side of their car — where Dragon was sitting — crashed into another car.

’Oh, god...’her lips quiver, glancing at the driver’s seat on instinct. "What... what are you planning now?"

Just as the question slipped past her mouth, another squeal escaped Hera. A round of gunfire resonated in her ear, hearing it land with a solid thud against the window on Dragon’s side. Dragon instinctively ducked down the first time the bullet hit the window but then realized it was bulletproof.
