Chapter 916: You cheap little fucker.

Two shots were fired. One from the old man and the other from Primo. The old man was so certain Primo was stupid enough to step into a danger zone without considering all possibilities. But alas, he realized a second later he underestimated Primo.

The second he pulled the trigger and shot at Primo, a short smile suddenly turned up on Primo’s face. He then timely lifted a bullet proof which he got from somewhere else. He used it as a shield, opening fire at the old man on the floor.

The old man instinctively rolled to his side, clenching his teeth as he avoided the bullets coming in his direction. Since he was lying on the floor, he had to roll on it as fast as he could to not get shot. Primo, on the other hand, kept shooting. His smile kept stretching, purposely missing the old man on the floor as he watched him roll on the floor to create distance from him.

"You people are so arrogant..." Primo trod forward while the old man was rolling back, opening fire one after another to keep the old man moving. "You’re already at the age of retirement. You might be more capable when you were a lot younger, but seriously... I know someone who is almost the same age as you and that guy is better and more honest."

He squinted his eyes, noticing the old man was trying to gain momentum to get back on his feet. Thus, he tried shooting him in the leg. But alas, the second he did, the old man lifted his foot and opened fire with a pistol, grazing Primo’s leg.

Primo clenched his teeth, enduring the pain in his leg. Underneath the fancy suit, Primo’s body was still wrapped with a bandage for his previous injuries. His momentary pause granted the old man some time to get back on his feet, dusting off his suit as if that were his priority instead of killing the enemy before him.

"My bad," said the old man. "It seemed you’ve improved more than I thought."

Primo snapped his eyes back to the man, not having the energy to converse with him. He lifted the rifle and opened fire, but much to his dismay, the bullet didn’t hit the man. Instead, it bounced off midair, hitting the wall beside him.

’Huh?’A gigantic question mark hovered over Primo’s head, gazing at the smoke coming out of the old man’s rifle. ’Did he just shoot the bullet to divert its direction?’

The old man smiled in satisfaction, chuckling as he shook his head mildly. "My mood had been sour since a few days ago because of losing a friend. So, I thought it would have been nice to blow off some steam to someone who knows him. In that case, we can reminisce about his memories together."

"Sadly, the only person who remembers him aside from us isn’t cooperative." He fluttered his numbered eyelashes ever so slowly. "Attorney Cafre, did you really think I simply think I will win in this duel because of experience alone?"

Primo held his breath and, without thinking twice, he opened fire one more time. Just like what had happened earlier, the old man repelled it by shooting the incoming bullet.
