Chapter 914: This is insanity
"What the hell is going on? Don’t tell me this is what that guy’s doing? What a sick bastard."
Beside Primo’s forces, there was Dragon and that other one he assumed was Dimitri’s henchman. These dead people in the hallway were Dragon’s men, for sure. Therefore, Primo assumed this was Dimitri’s people doing. Primo continued his journey to get to the other end of the hallway, but when he turned, the scene was the same as the previous one.
"This... is insanity."
As a felon and villainous himself, Primo knew that killing someone with a gun was the most efficient way. But for someone to use their hands and wield a knife or anything the like, only displayed the level of craziness and confidence the perpetrator was. Considering the circumstances, wielding a close-combat weapon was a lot riskier. Thus, the mere thought of it made the hairs on the back of his neck raise.
Whoever did this was a skilled monster. The worst of all.
"This is obviously their doing," he told himself, eyes glinting as he gripped the rifle close to him. "I don’t think there’s more evil in this place other than those guys."
Bitterness swelled in his chest, remembering all the memories he had with Dimitri and his men. Although he never saw Dimitri face to face in the past, his personality was enough to know what sort of people he had under this wing. With that thought in mind, Primo picked up his steps without putting too much thought into the gruesome scenes before him. Because of this, Primo didn’t meet any enemy on the way. Even if he did, it was just one or two.
As Primo went deeper into the mansion, trying to find Hera, he noticed some changes in the gruesome scene he would walk by. In the beginning, every single body on the way was dead — swiftly killed. But the more he saw the same scene, the more he realized that most of the victims were left incapacitated to fight, but alive.
"What the hell is going on?" he murmured, stopping in his tracks as he squatted down beside the person on the side. He assessed the man’s pale face; he was still breathing heavily.
