"Tch." Tiger lay flat on the surface of the stair landing. His one eye shut and the other on the scope of a sniper rifle. "No, I changed my mind. Give me that motherfucker’s coordinates."
"Don’t be nonsense." The voice from his earpiece was Heaven, guiding him of the situation in Dragon’s mansion. "Don’t forget what this mission is for."
Tiger clicked his tongue again, irritated that killing Dragon was so close, yet the circumstances rendered him helpless. He was told that all the people they were looking for in Dragon’s custody were outside the manor. If only Heaven would give him Dragon’s exact position, he could kill him right here and now.
"Hey," he called after noticing the prolonged silence from the other end of the line. "Is everything okay? You suddenly went quiet."
"Uh."
"Uh?" Tiger arched a brow at that suspicious, short sound he heard from the other end of the line. "What’s going on?"
"Nothing." By the tone of Heaven’s voice, it seemed she was partially amused or surprised at something. "It’s nothing."
Despite the strange tone laced in her voice, Tiger put it behind him. There was no point in pressing on the matter, thinking it was probably not that important. If it was something noteworthy, she wouldn’t hesitate to tell him after all.
