Chapter 876: Don’t even dare get better

"Once you made up your mind, I’ll tell you the secrets of how to break free from the chains of your mind."

What a tempting offer.

After Mr. Garner left Primo on the bench, he pondered about it. He was surprised that Mr. Garner knew about him. It only showed the old man in the same ward as he wasn’t just a normal patient, just like everyone else. Even so, Primo didn’t have to feel the need to feel hostile. Perhaps because, at one point, death didn’t terrify him anymore.

Primo thought of death countless times before coming to this place. Therefore, even if Mr. Garner was bad news, he didn’t feel the need to struggle. That was right. Primo might not be able to take his own life; if someone came to do that for him, he wouldn’t mind.

"Who... are you?" Primo furrowed his brows, squinting his eyes as he studied the person sitting across from him in the facility’s park.

The old man in a suit across from him appeared to be in his late forties or maybe earlier fifties. There wasn’t anything significant about him except that big mole near his right eye. It didn’t matter. This man was someone Primo had never met in his life. Therefore, a myriad of questions hovered in his mind at the sight of him.

"Who I am isn’t important, Mr. Cafre," said the stranger monotonously. "But the person who sent me wants me to check on your well-being.."
