Chapter 827: Too old for this gig
Twenty years ago, a gas leak killed a family of three, a story that the entire town would never forget. The Zhang family was renowned for being kind and generous neighbors. Despite the passage of time, everyone who knew them could never forget. Each person had at least a word or two of praise for the Zhang family.
"Dane Zhang..." Tiger breathed out, standing in front of the high school attended by the teenage son of the Zhang couple. "If this is not you, I won’t even bother."
Tiger drew a deep breath, swallowing hard. With a sharp huff, he marched toward the imposing gates of the establishment.
"Ever since the incident, there hasn’t been anyone from the Zhang family at the school..."
After asking around, Tiger finally met someone who could help with his investigation. Standing in the office, he watched an old man rummage through the files to find a yearbook from twenty years ago. Even though the teenage son of the Zhang family didn’t graduate, he heard that the school included his photo as a tribute.
Strange, but Tiger didn’t think much of it. After all, this was a small town with practices that might be a little different and old-fashioned compared to the city.
"That poor boy. I remember him because he’s such a nice kid," said the old man, picking up a thick yearbook. "Oh, here it is!"
Tiger perked up as he watched the old man turn around to face him. His eyes beneath his thin glasses squinted, walking toward Tiger.
"Why don’t you take a seat, young man?" the old man motioned to the sofa, to which Tiger responded with a short nod. "What is your name again?" he asked as they made their way to the couch.
