Chapter 815: Mission Complete
Deborah and Hunter might have been desperate, but at the back of their minds, they couldn’t safely say they were confident in their savior, Ralph, or what he said to call him, Fig. When he told them they could just go, they didn’t understand it.
Although the torture house didn’t have as many people compared to the mansion, their numbers were still not to be underestimated. They couldn’t simply come out of the torture room, but then again, Hunter and Deborah had no other reasons not to listen to him. They would die anyway.
"Ugh..." Hunter grunted in pain as Fig tied him on his back with his blazer suit. "My tendon."
Fig pulled the sleeves to secure the man behind him. "I’ll take you to the nearest hospital. So, you have to endure the pain."
Hunter knew that. It just hurt.
"Now you," Fig said, blinking at the woman standing a step from him, wearing his dress shirt, which explained his chunky and shiny top displayed. "I can’t pick you up there. I have someone on my back already. Unlike him, you’re in a much better state. So, walk over here. I’ll carry you."
"I think I can..." Deborah trailed off as she cleared her throat. "Can you carry two people?"
"The path is clear, so I don’t mind," Fig replied almost nonchalantly. "Even so, we have to hurry. Letting you walk on your own might result in disaster. Frankly, staying here and explaining the obvious to you is already a waste of time."
She pressed her lips and cleared her throat once again, limping her way to him. "Sorry," she said, raising her arms and wrapping them around his neck. In the blink of an eye, her feet left the ground as Fig carried her in a bridal style. At the same time, Hunter let out a grunt because Fig’s movement hurt his injuries.
