The staff from the Tiger food truck, sent to Ivy’s company, diligently arranged tables and chairs in front of the building. A crowd of employees gathered, eager to enjoy a variety of dishes distinct from the typical cafeteria fare. Meanwhile, Ivy generously shared the delectable offerings with her team, savoring the meal with evident enjoyment.
Observing this scene from a distance inside his car, Tiger couldn’t help but smile. His focus remained on Ivy, appreciating her radiant smile as she shared a meal with some people.
"How I wish I could join her," he mused, tapping his fingers against the steering wheel. "But I guess I have to hold back for now."
Leaning back comfortably in the driver’s seat, Tiger propped his elbow against the window, observing everyone relishing the lunch he had arranged. Thankfully, Dane had recommended some reliable food trucks that could cater on short notice.
"Heh." A chuckle escaped his sly smirk. "I wonder what his reaction would be if he found out he inadvertently helped me console the woman who used to pursue him."
Though not a game for Tiger, the notion brought a sense of satisfaction. Ivy had relentlessly pursued Dane, who consistently rejected her advances. After years of unrequited love, fatigue had settled into Ivy’s heart, allowing her to move on.
"Does he regret it, though?" Tiger hummed a tune, his eyes fixed on Ivy in the distance. He contemplated her radiant smile and captivating presence that illuminated the surroundings. His eyelids drooped slightly as his lips formed a thin line.
"He must be."
