Neither Tiger nor Ivy had ever expected this to happen tonight. He came to set the records straight because Ivy truly didn’t deserve to be in constant danger because of him. After all, the price on his head was far too tempting for anyone who could get it, allowing them to retire and live the rest of their lives in comfort.
On the other hand, Ivy thought this would happen in the distant future, a future where everything was good and they were both ready for any commitment. But alas, things turned out differently, and this future she had in mind was currently unfolding in the present.
Both of them were reluctant to release each other’s lips. With her eyes closed, following the guidance of his lips, she felt the soft mattress beneath her. Slowly, she opened her eyes as Tiger pulled his head back from her.
For a moment, the two of them stared at each other in silence. She tried to catch her breath through her parted lips, her eyes twinkling as she gazed at Tiger’s face hovering over her.
"Hang on a second," he said as he pushed himself away from her, kneeling and searching for his wallet. Deep lines appeared on her forehead before Tiger showed her a small packet held between his fingers.
"Protection, ready," he said with a grin, making her gulp nervously.
"Why are you carrying condoms with you?" she blurted out, earning a short laugh from him.
"For situations like this," his answer was simple as he bent over, placing his hand on the side of her head. "Why? Do you prefer to do it without protection?"
