Chapter 684: Gossip and support
Heaven thought things would finally calm down when she cleared up that one thing regarding her relationship with Tiger. To be honest, she never imagined that anyone would mistake her and him as a couple. But then again, everyone in the art department used to be overworked. Therefore, now that they had more free time on their hands, they were enjoying every moment of it.
But alas, Heaven’s peaceful days only lasted for a day.
Heaven and three of her colleagues were enjoying lunch in the cafeteria, with Belle among them.
"Yes, yes, I love that film! Heaven Liu is amazing — I’ve always been a fan, and it was a shock when she announced her participation in the movie," Belle shared happily, like a true fangirl. "Imagine? She hadn’t posted anything on any of her socials, and then suddenly, she became active again. Oh God, she’s just as beautiful!"
"Correction. She’s even more beautiful now," another of Heaven’s colleagues chimed in. "I remember rewatching that movie with my boyfriend. She’s really amazing. I mean, I think the production made a bad decision to pick a new actress for the female lead role."
"I know, right? She looks like a backdrop," the other one added, rolling her eyes. "Just what are they thinking? I’m not saying she’s bad, but with Heaven Liu in the cast, it somehow feels terrible. Heaven is a queen, and she’s mesmerizing."
"I was very disappointed when Heaven and Leo weren’t the endgame."
"I ship them so hard. When will they announce their wedding?"
Heaven chewed her food slowly, her expression showing discomfort as if she had indigestion from this conversation. One thing she had learned after working in the art department for quite some time was that many of her colleagues were her fans. It was the reason many of them flocked to her table to get a closer look; the same reason they kept comparing her with Heaven Liu.
