Chapter 659: I had a dream
[Medical City Center]
A light knock from the door caught Dominic’s attention. He instinctively glanced at the digital clock on the bedside table before setting his eyes on the door. The second his eyes fell on the door, it slowly opened from the outside.
There, peeking her head in was Heaven. A subtle smile instantly lit up Dominic’s face upon seeing his wife.
"Hey," he called, watching her slowly get in and close the door behind her. "How was it?"
Heaven just shrugged as she dragged her feet to the hospital bed where her husband was lying. She sat on the edge of the bed, letting out a deep exhale as she answered.
"I actually don’t know," she said while raising her brows momentarily.
"What do you mean?" he asked, cocking his head to the side. "Also, did you see the kids?"
"Mhm. I went to their room before coming here. They’re already sleeping."
"They slept early..." Dominic cleared his throat upon realizing it wasn’t really late. It was a few minutes before midnight already. "They missed you. Basti kept asking where you were."
"I bet they did just as much as I did." Heaven let out another sigh, tickling Dominic’s curiosity about what happened to her ’mission.’
"Everything alright?" he inquired once again. "Did they take it well? Or was it another Princess and Gray scenario?"
