A loud slam on the table stopped the continuous series of questions filling the private room in one of Zhu’s business establishments. Everyone stopped asking, setting their eyes on the woman sitting at the other end of the table.
"Oh, my goodness." Heaven shook her head in dismay, scanning the faces of those who were bombarding her with questions. She couldn’t even understand a sentence because they were all talking at the same time. "I take it back. Don’t ask."
"What?" Tiger clicked his tongue, moving closer to the table, eyes on her. "You cannot just take it back. You gave your word and, to be honest, it’s not fair to be kept in the dark."
"Your existence is already shrouded by darkness, Tiger. Haven’t you grown used to it?" Moose tilted his head to the side, casting Tiger a quick look before shifting his attention to Heaven. "His concerns are not worthy, Young Madam. Please excuse his... impudence. He doesn’t know better."
"And you think you know better?" Tiger scoffed.
"Yes. So, Young Madam, any plans for the dipping stock market? As you know, I deeply recognize the value of the Lyon Group and its potential. What I am saying here —"
"What you’re saying is nothing but bullshit," Joker chimed in, rolling his eyes as both Tiger and Moose were nothing but a nuisance. He snapped his eyes ever so slowly to Heaven, arms crossed. "So? Care to give me a proper explanation why I should stick around?"
