Chapter 647: Stick around

"I’m alright! Don’t shoot — especially you, Tiger!"

Heaven let out a short huff as she glossed her eyes over the rooftop. Aside from the burning chopper, everyone seemed fine. Although Silas looked stupid while looking in her direction. She snapped her eyes down, catching a figure flying up.

’I knew it. He’d be here,’she thought, blinking back and turning her head back to the person inside the chopper. "I’m jumping."

"Bold." Dragon nodded as he motioned with his hand. "Very well."

"Dragon... is it? Bear called you that?"

"Yes?"

The corner of her lips curled up into a short smile that didn’t reach her eyes. "Let’s not cross paths again. I appreciate that you’re letting me go; you’re in good luck."

"What a way to say that." Dragon smiled back, staring at the woman standing by the open door.

The stray hairs of her messy updo flew back with some of it stuck on her cheek. She had a small face, about the size of his hand, and had a petite figure. One look and a person’s first impression was that she was like those fragile women who should be protected at all costs — like a princess who was more fit to stay in the castle to pray for her soldiers’ safety rather than leading them to war.

But alas, what he had seen was enough for him to realize he couldn’t judge her based on her looks. Those pair of phoenix eyes that were burning with confidence and fearlessness were solid proof she didn’t need protection.

"Though I get the feeling we’d meet again," he continued after a momentary pause, holding her gaze without the intention of looking away. "Until then, Pepsi."
