"You should answer that. You might get enlightened if you do."
Silas looked at Dominic with doubt and suspicion. He kept his eyes on him as he slid his hands inside his suit pocket. Even when he answered the call, Silas kept his full attention to Dominic.
"Hey man, can you tell my boss everything’s clear here?"
Deep lines appeared between his brows as he heard a man’s breathy and cocky voice. His tone was a mix of a bit of exhaustion and arrogance.
"You..."
"Right. How rude of me to not introduce myself. My bad," said the person on the other end of the line. "It’s me, your colleague, Mr. M. Your people confiscated my phone, so I had to borrow one of your men’s phones."
"Although... I can’t borrow it properly from him because he’s already sleeping peacefully," Moose continued. "Anyway, please relay my message to CEO Zhu. Tell him everything is clear here and his guests were safe — well, one of them was shot in the leg, but he’ll be fine. It’s his fault, anyway."
As Silas listened to Moose’s remarks, his irises continued to grow wide. He instinctively held his breath throughout the entire phone call, eyes wide on Dominic.
"I suppose that is Moose," Dominic said.
